This “plunger” filler fountain pen has been fully serviced and ready for immediate use. It was made one side or the other of WW2 from a material that gave a view of the ink in the barrel. It is in excellent condition.

De La Rue Onoto Ink Pencil, Eyedropper  
Access for the eyedropping in this neat little pen is by removing the rear button to give access for the syringe of ink. The point gives a very fine line in order to match a pencil line quite closely. It is in mint condition with chasing and impressed marks crisp and clear. 2016/12/03

Parker “Vacumatic” Fountain pen with “Jeweller`s Band”

This fountain pen, in fully serviced condition, is one of the less common Parker “Vacumatics” as the cap is trimmed with a solid 9 carat gold band. The markings on the barrel of this pen , in Golden Pearl, tell that it was made in 1938 in Canada. The “arrow” nib is 14 carat gold and on the broad side of medium. Ref2018/094

Parker Vacumatic [USA] Fountain Pen
This USA Parker “Vacumatic “ fountain pen , with cap and barrel in mint condition, has the number “0” impressed in the normal position on the barrel.  Coupled with the chevron pattern cap band one might conclude that 1950 was the date of manufacture and yet the “blue diamond” decoration is clear on the clip hints at a much earlier date. The fine 14 carat gold nib is inscribed “Parker Pen ,made in USA, .2.”

This  near mint Parker 61 is fitted with a gold filled cap with makers marks telling 1/10 12 carat gold filled. It is fitted with a medium 14 carat gold nib and after conversion can be filled easily from ink bottle , although standard Parker cartridges may be fitted. Slip caps for Onoto Plunger Filler

The 3 caps shown were made on the lathe in hard rubber. The tricky bit in the lathe work is the thin wall of these caps, and the correct hard rubber used for this jib is very brittle and keen to crack.

Most of the pens displayed are from what maybe described as the second tier of IK makers. These fountain pens, eg by Wyvern, Unique , and Burnham, are of excellent quality with 14 carat gold nibs. All have been serviced into full working order. Some of the “Unique” fountain pens shown still have the original shop price labels.
